Care Instructions
Wearing your jewelry often is important, as the oils from your skin are beneficial to the health and life of your piece.
Never wear your jewelry while doing household chores.
Always remove your jewelry before swimming or sunbathing. Direct sunlight can tarnish your silver.
Sulfur can cause silver to corrode and tarnish, so avoid the following: household chemicals, rubber/latex, chlorinated water, wool, and sweat. Also avoid food items including: mayonnaise, mustard, eggs, onions.
Keep jewelry away from lotions, creams, cosmetics, perfumes, hair spray and other beauty products.
Storage
Store your jewelry in sealable plastic bags in a cool, dark, dry space. Air and moisture will tarnish your silver!
Squeeze out as much air as possible before closing the seal.
Keep silica gel packs or activated charcoal in your storage area to help control the moisture.
Keep each piece in an individual bag to prevent scratching.
Polishing
If the tarnishing is not severe, simply polish them using a special silver cloth, lint-free flannel, microfiber, or other non-abrasive cloth.
Some pieces are in oxidized by the artist, meaning they are intentionally darkened. Excessive polishing can damage these details, so when polishing ensure you use long back-and-forth motions instead of rubbing in circles.
Frequently change the section of cloth being used to avoid placing tarnish back on your jewelry.
